Synopsis

Revenu auprès de Manthor, Jolan honore la promesse qu'il lui a faite de le servir. Mais Manthor apprend à Jolan qu'il ne sera pas le seul en lice. Il rencontrera bientôt d'autres jeunes gens vaillants décidés à ne pas lui laisser la place promise par Manthor. Jolan va devoir prouver sa valeur.

Au village, Aaricia est bouleversée par le départ de son fils (elle ne pardonne pas à Thorgal d'avoir laissé partir Jolan). Elle décide de reprendre les choses en main et va consulter Mahara, une ermite aux pouvoirs divinatoires, qui lui révèle les origines de Manthor à qui son fils a prêté allégeance.

Anecdote

Moi, Jolan fait partie d'un triptyque avec Le Bouclier de Thor, La Bataille d'Asgard, dans le cadre du Cycle Le successeur.
