Ozymandias remonte la filière de la drogue en débutant par un dealer dans la rue. Après l’avoir fait parler, il le laisse attaché (par un noeud Gordien personnel) à un réverbère, couvert de sa poudre.

Il prend en filature l’homme de main et arrive dans un entrepôt qui sert de labo pour fabriquer la drogue. Il maîtrise les hommes de main de Porcini, puis vient aussi à bout de ce dernier.
Lorsque la police arrive sur les lieux, outre les trafiquants de drogue ils découvrent un nouveau justicier masqué. Inspiré par les vers de Percy Bysshe Shelley, Adrian décide d’adopter le nom d’Ozymandias, transcription en grec d’une partie de la titulature royale de Ramsès II, puis s’enfuit.

Il découvre et détruit le réseau de jeux clandestins du Flambeur, met sous les verrous le gang du Tsar du recel d’automobiles (le dénommé Quatrième Vitesse). Ensuite il démantèle le trafic international de fausse monnaie du Billet Rouge.
Ensuite, il s’intéresse aux anciens Minutemen et cherche la cause de leur dissolution puis disparition. Il en vient à s’interroger sur le sort du Juge Masqué.

Ozymandias enquête sur la disparition du Juge Masqué. Il rencontre le Comédien et ils engagent un bref combat au cours duquel le Comédien à plus ou moins le dessus. Ils se méprisent par la suite.
