Pourquoi un réseau ?

L'utilité d'un réseau d'entreprise est indiscutable, mais nous oublions souvent que ce qui s'applique aux entreprises s'applique aussi à un réseau particulier.
En effet, il y a peu de temps, la possession d'un ordinateur à domicile était assez rare... Puis l'ordinateur a suivi la voie du téléviseur, et s'est répendu dans les foyers.

Il est tout à fait possible de se constituer un réseau informatique à domicile à peu de frais, ce qui nous permet de profiter des avantages de chaque machine.

Avantages du réseau

  • Partage des ressources
    • ressources matérielles : imprimantes, scaners, etc.
    • ressources logicielles : données partagées, base de bonnées, partage d'applications logicielles, etc.
  • Sécurité et rapidité dans la circulation des données.
  • Utilisation de systèmes de messageries internes (Par exemple : Exchange).
  • Gestion centralisée des machines (De nombreuses opérations peuvent êtres réalisées via le réseau : maintenance du système, installation de logiciels, aide à distance, etc.).
