Bras droit et homme de main d’Allan Thompson à bord du Sereno (Les Cigares du pharaon) et du Karaboudjan (Le Crabe aux pinces d’or), il est très souvent présent au côté de son chef. C’est lui qui assomme Tintin puis l’emprisonne dans les cales du Karaboudjan.

Plus tard, à Bagghar, c’est encore lui qui reconnaît le capitaine et participe à son enlèvement. Il est arrêté en même temps que les autres membres de l’organisation d’Omar Ben Saalad.

Il est joué par Mackenzie Crook dans le film Les Aventures de Tintin : Le Secret de La Licorne
