En vacances en Alsace, Jeanjean et Lefranc font la connaissance d’Eline Van Dijck. De l’autre côté du globe, dans le Bush d’Afrique du Sud, d’étranges événements ont lieu dans le parc Van Dijck, un lieu de protection et de découverte de la vie sauvage administré par son père, Geert. Des animaux y sont abattus et les touristes se font de plus en plus rares. A Strasbourg, alors qu’ils se reposent après leur journée de ski, Jeanjean et Lefranc sont réveillés en pleine nuit par des cris : Eline vient d’être enlevée.
Alors que la crise de l’apartheid est à son sommet en Afrique du Sud, pourquoi cette jeune fille s’est-elle faite enlevée ? Qui aurait intérêt à faire chanter Geert Van Dijck ?
