Roger Seiter est né en 1955 à Strasbourg. Historien de formation, il travaille aujourd'hui comme conseiller principal d'éducation. Il commence son œuvre de scénariste pour Roussel en 1989, avec Après un si long hiver (éd. La nuée bleue). Puis il publie aux éditions Glénat, Simplissisimus avec Frédéric Pillot au dessin, et, en 1995, avec Vincent Bailly, aux éditions Delcourt, la série "Cœur de Sang", dont le troisième album parait en janvier 1999. Chez Casterman, il publie les séries "Fog", "Dies Irae" et "H.M.S.".
