Irène's sister had dreamed of being a secretary. Gloria passed her exams and took a place in Phoenix while Irène was content to run the inn their parents had left them as long as she had Ken. When Ken went to Phoenix for a congress of farmers, Irène asked him to give Gloria a hug for her. But Ken and Gloria both came back, telling Irène that they had fallen in love. A short time later, Gloria came back to tell Irène that they had made a mistake and asking Irène to give Ken a second chance.
