Claire feels her life is truly starting when she gets a job in Madrid working for an American bank. It had been three years since she had last seen Robert, holding another woman in his arms. So she is surprised when that woman asks to see her. Robert had never married and Rose indicates that she thinks he still loves Claire. Rose tells Claire that Robert is also in Madrid. Claire goes to see Robert and they both wonder if they can rekindle the old feelings they had for each other.
