Il n'a aucun rapport avec un autre Porquépix, marchands de vin et charbon de Gergovie dans l'album Le Bouclier arverne. Il ne doit pas être confondu non plus avec Porc-Epix, vendeur de charcuteries sur le marché de Condate dans l'album Astérix et le chaudron.
