Helmut apparaît dans "Le feu de Wotan" et semble être tout à la fois la tête pensante et l’ingénieur en chef du groupe de malfaiteurs qui a pris le pétrolier "Mercurian" pour cible. Après une (très) courte apparition sur le parking du métro aérien de Wupperthal (station Oberbarmen), nous le retrouvons dans un phare isolé de la côte Bretonne d’où il menace le pétrolier géant. Jusqu’au-boutiste sans scrupules, il périra dans sa tentative, victime du feu de Wotan qui détruit le phare et toute l’installation.
