Colette, a dresser for the Vercel fashion house, is mixed up in a case of mistaken identity when she puts on one of the furs and the designer returns unexpectedly. Asked to model the fur for the designer's girlfriend, she offends the famous singer when she forgets to remove her boots when she models the fur. Colette's roommate tries other schemes to help her get started as a model, but something always goes wrong. Colette is convinced that she always brings bad luck.
