Malmedy [malmədi] (en francique Malemder; en wallon Måmdey, prononcé [maːmdiː]), parfois orthographié Malmédy, est une ville de Belgique située en Région wallonne dans la province de Liège.

C'est une commune francophone à facilités pour ses habitants germanophones (5 % de ses citoyens sont d'expression germanophone). Elle fait partie des communes des Cantons de l'Est rattachés à la Belgique en 1919 en exécution du traité de Versailles.

Malmedy est située au confluent de la Warche et de la Warchenne.

Malmedy couvre une superficie de 99.96i  km2 avec une population de 12,654i habitants (01/01/2018), soit densité de 126.59i habitants par Km2.
