- Et alors ? Mais c'est la puberté qui arrive !! L'éruption d'hormones ! Le corps qui change ! Tout ça quoi !!
- Oui, bon. J'ai 119 ans, quand même…
- 119 ans, mais tu n'as pas connu l'amour ! Avec un grand A.
- QUOI ?! Pas connu l'amour, moi ? Et Alembert le loup-garou ?! Il m'a couverte de présents et d'attentions pendant des années ! Et la momie ? Tous ces princes ? Monsieur le comte ?
- Bah ! Des flirts, tout ça ! Rien à voir avec l'amour. Avec un grand A.
Catastrophe ! Mélusine a perdu ses pouvoirs ! Pour une sorcière, ça la fout mal… Sa tante Adrazelle la rassure : c'est normal à la puberté (Mélusine n'a que 119 ans), une sorcière perd tous ses pouvoirs tant qu'elle n'a pas connu l'Amour (avec un grand A). "Beurk", se dit Mélusine qui n'a connu jusque-là que de très innocents flirts.
Re-catastrophe : Mélusine est désignée à l'unanimité pour représenter son école au grand tournoi interscolaire de magie ! Re-re-catastrophe : elle va être obligée de demander de l'aide à sa stupide cousine, la fée Mélisande !
