Bien que Windows XP soit livré avec Windows Media Player 8.0, l'ancienne version 6.4 est également présente.
Moins fonctionnelle, mais en contre partie extrêmement moins lourde, elle vous permet en outre de lire parfois des fichiers que les versions suivantes ne peuvent plus (ne me demandez pas pourquoi, mais je l'ai constaté avec certaines anciennes séquences).

Vous trouverez la version 6.4 du Windows Media Player dans le dossier : C:/ Program Files/ Windows Media Player/ sous le nom mplayer2.exe.
