À 23 h 25, Adrian Veidt avait lancé le processus de téléportation du monstre extraterrestre, calmar géant, télépathique et génétiquement modifié dans le centre de Manhattan à New York.

A minuit, on dénombre trois millions de morts à Manhattan, plus de quinze millions de morts dans le monde, suite à ce qui semble une attaque (ou un incident) extra-terrestre.

Différence avec le film

Dans le film de Zack Snyder en 2009, c’est le Dr Manhattan qui est utilisé par Veidt comme menace contre laquelle le monde doit s’unir.
