Date de naissance : 20-04-1989

Gontran Toussaint est né en 1989 à Namur, en Belgique. La découverte, dès ses premières années, de la bande dessinée à travers les grands héros humoristiques le pousse à vouloir en comprendre le fonctionnement. C'est donc tout naturellement que l'envie lui est venue de réaliser ses propres histoires et de les imprimer sous forme d'albums ! Durant son adolescence, la découverte de l'univers de grands maîtres du réalisme, tels Jean Giraud ou Hermann, va avoir un impact considérable sur l'évolution de son travail. À l'issue d'un parcours scolaire artistique, il poursuit sa formation en bande dessinée à l'institut Saint-Luc de Liège avant de commencer ses démarches auprès des éditeurs. C'est après avoir vu son travail que Renaud Garreta et Laurent Granier lui proposent de les rejoindre sur un nouveau projet pour Dargaud : "Reporter".
