Florette, 75 ans et aveugle, rêve de chanter en Amérique. Son fils Léopold, 35 ans, perd l'argent destiné au voyage pour les Etats-Unis. Profitant de la cécité de sa mère, il met au point un plan pour lui faire croire qu'ils sont aux USA… sans quitter Bruxelles. Sa motivation : faire avouer à sa mère le nom de son père.
