Les habitants sont appelés les Roisséens et les Roisséennes. Ce village a été rendu mondialement célèbre en 1974 lors de l'implantation de l'aéroport international qui porte son nom et occupe une partie de son territoire
Mais à l'écart des installations aéroportuaires, Roissy demeure un village caractéristique du Pays de France.
