Explorateur et auteur du livre Voyages aux Amériques, que Tintin possède dans sa bibliothèque. Walker a rencontré les Arumbayas durant une expédition et un fétiche lui a été offert en cadeau d'adieu. Sans se douter qu'un précieux diamant a été caché dans le fétiche par un membre de l'expédition, nommé Lopez, il ramène la statue en Europe et en fait don à un musée ethnographique.
