Faud est un colonel de l’armée saoudienne secrètement membre du gang de Rastapopulos, le cartel de l’opium. Il fit accuser Tintin d’espionnage lorsque Tintin fut enrôlé de force dans l’armée et organisa un peloton d’exécution qui ne saura réussir. Il sera arrêté et ligoté par Tintin lui même lors de la réunion du cartel en Inde.
