Vers la porte du Dolder
Cette porte surplombée d'une tour à cinq étages a une hauteur de 25 mètres. Le passage pouvait au moment du danger être fermé par une porte très solide à deux battants et par une herse. La cloche dans le petit clocheton servait de signal d'alarme en cas d'approche de l'ennemi venant de la plaine. L'intérieur du Dolder servait autrefois de lieu d'habitation au gardien du village. Cette enceinte existe encore en partie au xxie siècle. On peut ainsi encore voir les murs d'enceinte nord et ouest et les tours emblématiques de la cité : le Dolder et la Tour des Voleurs. Un coup d'œil le long du mur d'enceinte, à droite et à gauche du Dolder et le long de la Semme, donne une idée, à côté de son aspect pittoresque, de la solidité et de l'importance de ces fortifications.
