DirectX en est à sa version 9.0c et prend du poids (34Mo). Quelques bugs sont corrigés, et le support des Shader Model 3.0 et du Geometry Instancing ont été ajoutés. Les heureux possesseurs de cartes graphiques de dernière génération (GeForce 6800 et Radeon X800) seront ceux qui profiteront le plus de DirectX9.0c.
La version actuellement disponible est la "DirectX 9.0c Redistributable", qui est normalement réservée aux développeurs, mais qui convient aussi aux particuliers pressés. Pour les autres, la version standard ne tardera pas à sortir.
