La Commission européenne demande aux états membres de libérer une partie du spectre radioélectrique au profit du Wireless.
Cette attribution du spectre plus efficace permettrait aux technologies sans fil de se tailler une place importante dans le monde des ondes hertziennes.
Un groupe d’action (RSPG) a donc été mis en place par la Commission européenne et le comité du spectre radioélectrique (RSC), et une première mesure a déjà été adoptée le 8 juillet dernier par l’exécutif européen concernant l’harmonisation du spectre de fréquences dans la bande des 79 GHz liée à l'utilisation de radars à courte portée.
