Les maisons de disques ont encore frappé en déposant de nouvelles plaintes contre certains utilisateurs de logiciels Peer-To-Peer, entraînant la résiliation immédiate et sans préavis du contrat liant l'accusé avec son fournisseur d'accès.
Selon la Société Civile des Producteurs Phonographiques (SCPP), ces personnes avaient utilisé de façon abusive les logiciels Kazaa et Emule en téléchargeant des œuvres dont le contenu est protégé par les droits d'auteurs.
