RSS
RSS [“Really Simple Syndication”1] est format de données utilisé pour produire automatiquement un contenu à jour sous une forme qui peut être facilement utilisée par les clients qui s'abonnent à ce contenu.

Il existe actuellement en réalité trois formats de données RSS: RSS 0.91 [“Rich Site Summary”3], RSS 0.90 et RSS 1.0 [“Ressource description framework Site Summary”5], et RSS 2.0 [“Really Simple Syndication”7]

RSS est un moyen pour extraire d'un site web du contenu régulièrement mis à jour. Un fichier RSS est un simple fichier texte au format XML comportant la description synthétique du contenu.
Ce langage d'échange d'informations simples était proposé initialement par Netscape. Vite devenu populaire, il est actuellement maintenu par Userland et en est à la version 2.0.
Vous pouvez récupérer dynamiquement des flux rss pour les intégrer à votre site, soit les lire directement au travers d'un navigateur RSS (agrégateur de news).
