Jack l'aventurier et Joan la romancière se lance dans une nouvelle aventure qui cette fois‐ci va les mener aux portes du désert, dans le palais du prince Omar. Les premiers jours idylliques de ce séjour vont être remplacés par une réalité tout autre : l'émir est un tyran de la pire espèce. Gardant jalousement son trésor secret, « Le diamant du Nil », les deux aventuriers veulent à tout prix mettre la main sur le précieux objet.
