Il n'a pas de nom, personne ne sait d'où il vient ni depuis quand il exerce, mais sur Eastman Island il règne sur l'économie souterraine. Tout passe par lui, y compris ces mystérieuses fioles qui envahissent les rues depuis quelques jours : un produit révolutionnaire qui transcende l'esprit de ceux qui l'inhalent. Mais d'étranges effets secondaires ne tardent pas à se manifester. La population de l'île va alors progressivement sombrer dans le chaos et l'anarchie.
