Lorsque l'avion transportant des employés d'une compagnie pétrolière s'écrase dans les territoires reculés du Grand Nord, les rares survivants savent que leur temps est compté. Entre le froid, les recherches impossibles et les loups qui les guettent déjà, ils ne s'en sortiront que par eux-mêmes. John Ottway (Liam Neeson) a un passé suffisamment sombre pour savoir que dans leur périple, l'ennemi ne viendra pas seulement de l'extérieur.
