Sigurd (Pål Sverre Hagen) est un archéologue veuf passionné de culture nordique. En analysant les runes trouvées dans l'un des navires du Musée des vaisseaux vikings d'Oslo, il a peut-être trouvé la clé du secret de Ragnarok, le mythe de la fin du monde. Son ami Allan (Nicolai Cleve Broch) trouve en parallèle une étrange pierre qui se révèle être une carte. Avec ses enfants, ils partent en expédition pour le Finnmark sur les traces de l'œil d'Odin, le premier indice notable. Ce qui se voulait être une randonnée familiale devient une dangereuse aventure.
Les parents sont fortement invités à surveiller les enfants de moins de 13 ans
