Edmond Dantes, jeune marin, est trahi par ses amis et est emprisonné au Chateau d'If. Après plusieures années, il s'évade et recupère un fabuleux trésor qui lui a été révélé par un co-détenu en prison. Il devient alors le mystérieux et très riche Comte de Monte Cristo. Sa vengeance est en marche.
