Terrinconus est un cartographe, géographe et explorateur chargé par César de capturer le Griffon avec le centurion Dansonjus et son aide Jolicursus et qui leur sert de guide. Il retranscrit mal ce que disent les Sarmates qui écorchent les -e. Il ne croit pas que la terre soit plate.

Terrinconus est l’approximation phonétique de terre inconnue, ou encore de terrain connu.
