Manneken est un jeune garçon belge. Fils des paysans Boetanix et Amoniake, il boirait de la bière en cachette selon les dires de son père – ce qui lui donne envie d'uriner. Il ne doit pas être confondu avec Mannekenpix, cuisinier belge dans le film Les Douze Travaux d'Astérix.
Étymologie
Manneken signifie petit homme en flamand, cf le Manneken Pis de Bruxelles.
