Il est vivement conseillé de défragmenter régulièrement les disques durs afin d’optimiser les performances (accès plus rapides).
Paradoxalement, la défragmentation des fichiers boot (fichiers nécessaires au démarrage du système d’exploitation) provoque un ralentissement du démarrage.
Dans le cas de défragmentations régulières, vous pouvez désactiver la défragmentation du boot.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\BootOptimizeFunction
Modifiez la valeur de la clé Enable à N (Y par défaut)
Attention : si vous ne pratiquez pas de défragmentation régulière comme indiqué plus haut, il est conseillé de laisser Enable à Y.
