Angl : Zero Insertion Force
Connecteur nécessitant très peu de force pour s'insérer dans son support (socket), très utilisé pour les puces ayant un grand nombre de broches comme les microprocesseurs.
Le ZIF socket comporte un levier qui permet de serrer les broches de la puce insérée contre les connecteurs.
