Quand on parle du Web, il s'agit en réalité du World Wide Web (WWW).

Le WWW est un service Internet d'accès aux ressources du réseau à partir de liens hypertexte, et mis au point par un chercheur du CERN, Tim Berners-Lee.
Attention, le Web n'est qu'une partie d'Internet, même si c'est actuellement la partie la plus connue. Internet est avant tout un réseau mondial proposant une multitude de services dont le web.
