Par "architecture QuantiSpeed", AMD désigne l'architecture du processeur Athlon XP, qui permet au processeur d'exécuter un plus grand nombre de tâches par cycle d'horloge.

Un moteur superscalaire entièrement pipeliné doté de neuf unités d’éxécution se trouve au cœur de cette architecture. Il en découle davantage de chemins d'accès pour transmettre les instructions des applications aux moteurs d'exécution centraux, permettant ainsi au processeur de traiter un nombre plus important de tâches au cours d'un cycle d'horloge donné. L'architecture QuantiSpeed intègre d'autres fonctions, notamment : une unité superscalaire de calcul des nombres à virgule flottante fonctionnant en mode pipeliné, des fonctions de pré-extraction des données matérielles et des répertoires de pages actives exclusifs et spéculatifs. La combinaison de ces fonctions extrêmement puissantes permet non seulement aux développeurs de visualiser, de concevoir et d'animer plus efficacement, mais augmente également le débit, le nombre de transactions destinées aux serveurs et la productivité globale, répondant du même coup aux besoins des responsables informatiques.
