Les prêtres amariciens sont entièrement dévoués à leur culte. La plupart passent toute leur existence dans l’enceinte d’un temple communautaire, s’appliquant à respecter la tradition religieuse et ses exigences. Quelques amariciens voient dans la conversion la meilleure preuve d’amour envers leur dieu, aussi passent-ils leur temps à parcourir les routes à la recherche d’« âmes à sauver ».
Les amariciens ne reconnaissent pas les théoriciens, qu’ils jugent présomptueux de prétendre pouvoir interpréter la volonté divine.
Les cultes amariciens sont nombreux – peut-être aussi nombreux qu’il y a de villages dans le monde connu – mais le plus répandu dans les Hauts-Royaumes semble être celui du dieu Odrel.
