En anglais ils correspondent à "structure" (la manière dont l'organisme intervenant dans le projet est structuré,hiérarchie et interractions entre ses différentes composantes), "strategy" (gestion des ressources,anticipation des contraintes extérieures pour atteindre l'objectif du projet), "systems" (processus formels et informels de l'organisme intervenant dans le projet), "skills" (capacités générales et de chacun), "style" (culture d'entreprise, position adoptée par les décideurs), "staff" (les intervenants, collaborateurs) et "shared values" (l'organisation et ses valeurs, chaque valeur est indépendante).
Il s'agit de sept facteurs qui permettent de gérer un projet de manière globale et efficace.
