Luc Schuiten est un architecte belge, né le 8 janvier 1944 à Bruxelles1. Il a été formé, tout comme son père Robert Schuiten, à l'Académie royale des beaux-arts de Bruxelles dont il sortit diplômé en 1967. Il est également scénariste de bande dessinée, en collaboration avec son frère, le dessinateur François Schuiten. Son père, Robert Schuiten, fut un architecte belge actif dans les années 1950 et 1960.
Avec son frère François il signe à quatre mains la série "Les Terres creuses". Il écrit un livre "Archiborescence" sur l'architecture possible du futur faite en essayant d'imiter la nature et non pas en la consommant (par exemple un maison faite autour d'un arbre en utilisant sa structure). Archiborescence = architecture + arborescence.
