Lors de la conférence LinuxWorld à San Francisco, HP a annoncé qu'il proposera des portables basés sur l'OS Linux. Ce sera une première pour un fabricant majeur. Cette offre s'adresse tout particulièrement aux entreprises.

Selon HP, Linux fait partie de sa startégie "Adapative Entreprise", pour la gestion des informations et de l'évolution des entreprises (pour en savoir plus, visitez le site de HP).

Les portables HP seront livrés avec OpenOffice, la suite bureautique bien connue des "Linuxiens". Le prix d'un portable commencerait à 1140 dollars.
