Firewire
Mis au point par Apple, le bus FireWire est normalisé fin 1995 sous la référence IEEE 1394. Il s’agit d’un bus informatique de communication de données à très grande vitesse. Il est donc utilisé pour les communications entre périphériques multimédia (caméra vidéo, matériel audio professionnel) , qui nécessitent un débit important.

Nous pouvons retrouver cette norme sous le nom i.Link pour Sony, ou encore Lynks pour Texas Instrument.
