La partie historique
Ramsès II (en égyptien ancien Ousirmaâtrê Setepenrê, Ramessou Meryamon), né aux alentours de -1304 et mort à Pi-Ramsès vers -1213, est le troisième pharaon de la XIXe dynastie égyptienne. Il est aussi appelé Ramsès le Grand ou encore Ozymandias. Manéthon l’appelle Ramsès (ou Ramesses Miamoun, Rampses).
