Né le 4 janvier 1981 à Rouen, Bill déménage dès l'âge de 3 ans aux alentours de Nîmes. Après avoir obtenu un Bac Arts Appliqués à seulement 17 ans, il décide de prendre sous son aile un jeune dessinateur désoeuvré, « Gobi », - en référence au désert de son existence -. Premier jalon d'une grande complicité, ils rentrent tous deux aux Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg en 1998 sous l'égide de Claude Lapointe. Remarqué lors de différents concours « Jeunes Talents » d'Angoulême, Jean-Claude Camano fait le pari d'observer plus attentivement cette graine de champion. Il débute alors dans « Tchô le Mégazine », ce qui lui permet enfin de pouvoir vivre de son pinceau. Un dernier défi pour lui : l'animation car là, les bonhommes, ils bougent !!
